The Starcap Grading Bureau is where you can send Starcaps to be checked and graded.

Grading can raise or lower value depending on condition, authenticity, originality, and the grade result.

What Grading Checks

The Bureau may check:

• Condition
• Authenticity
• Grade
• Originality
• Special effects
• Whether the cap was altered or modified
• Estimated value

Grades

A graded Starcap may receive a numeric grade. Higher grades usually increase value, while lower grades can reduce value.

A strong grade, good condition, verified authenticity, and natural effects can make a Starcap much more valuable.

Fakes

If the Bureau discovers a fake or counterfeit Starcap, it does not receive a normal grade.

Instead, it is permanently marked as fake or counterfeit and cannot be graded again.

Modified Starcaps

If a Starcap was modified after being obtained, it may be considered altered.

Basic collector logic:

• Pack-pulled or natural effect = usually worth more.
• Player-added effect = usually altered and worth less.
• Fake or forged effect = risky and usually worth much less if caught.
