Planet Types and Riftborn
In Riftborn, planets can also act like creature types. Aetherials may belong to one or more planet-based types, and those types can affect battles, strengths, weaknesses, moves, and evolution paths.
For example, an Aetherial from Ember Maw may naturally connect with fire-like moves, while one from Tidewake may favor water-like moves. Some creatures may also evolve into forms connected to different planets depending on training, personality, items, or other special conditions.
Riftborn Notes
Riftborn creatures are called Aetherials.
Aetherials are separate from normal Stardust pets.
Planet type affects battle behavior and move matchups.
Some planets may be stronger or weaker against others.
Echoes are rare or unstable variants saved for future use.
Example Type Flavor
Tidewake may be strong against Ember Maw.
Ember Maw may be strong against Frostveil.
Frostveil may slow or resist some nature-based traits.
Verdant Halo may interact strongly with Venom Bloom.
Nightrift may have strange effects against many types.
Conflux may be unpredictable or hybrid-based.
Final type matchups can be adjusted later in the database as the system grows.
